Production Mechanic-2nd Shift

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Production Mechanic position is responsible for supervised

maintenance and support of current manufacturing operations

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment: Identify and diagnose issues with manufacturing equipment and

perform repairs to get equipment back online in a timely and efficient manner

• Perform PM on equipment; Maintain the Preventative Maintenance Database

• Perform mold maintenance: Remove and install molds, hook up and set up equipment, and clean molds

as necessary.

• Provide backup operation of Extruder, Injection Mold, and Blow Mold equipment to maintain

uninterrupted production.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY

• Collaborate with engineers: Work with manufacturing engineers to optimize production operations,

implement new methods, and commission new equipment.

• Ensure safe shutdown of equipment during failures, work to restore operations, and prepare

equipment for efficient startup at the next shift change.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma required;3 years related experience in manufacturing support.

• Familiarity with machine shop and sheet metal fabrication processes

• Experience with electro mechanical and fluidic systems, including test fixture design and manufacture

desirable

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds

• Must be able to investigate / repair machinery (i.e. climb ladders)

• Production setting; lab and regular production and warehouse interaction
