Under the supervision of the Dental Director, the Inventory Manager's primary function is to ensure that all dental operations have adequate equipment, material, and supplies to achieve their respective objectives. A successful Inventory Manager is a reliable professional with excellent record-keeping abilities, possessing great attention to detail with a prudent business mindset. They will provide leadership and guidance to staff members within their area of responsibility. The Inventory Manager will adhere to the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Dental Center and the Funds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Oversees and directs inventory management staff, including training, coaching, scheduling, and supervisory responsibilities;

Utilizes, develops, and maintains inventory tracking systems to accurately monitor stock levels and inventory movement;

Analyzes inventory usage and anticipates future needs to ensure clinical staff have the supplies necessary to safely perform their duties;

Remains current on industry trends, products, and best practices to support organizational growth and operational effectiveness;

Sources suppliers and vendors, assists with contract negotiations, and fosters effective business relationships;

Recommends alternative supplies, vendors, equipment, or software solutions to meet operational needs;

Assists with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and other employee relations matters, as appropriate;

Prepares reports and provides recommendations to management regarding cost reduction, inventory optimization, and process improvements;

Ensures inventory staff comply with applicable health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations; and
-
Additional functions will include, but are not limited to, monitoring and reporting on Dental Center inventory levels, establishing and maintaining inventory control procedures, and participating in cross-functional process improvement initiatives within the Dental Department.
Qualifications (Competencies):

- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience as an Inventory Manager or in a similar inventory management role required;

Working knowledge of inventory management software, such as WASP;

Excellent knowledge of data analysis, inventory control, and forecasting methods;

Ability to accurately track inventory and prepare reports; and

Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.

- Demonstrated work ethic and satisfactory employment record, including attendance and punctuality.
Education:
| | BA in business administration, logistics, or relevant field
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
| | Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) a plus
