Inspector IV

Uses predetermined methods, operations, and prescribed technical data to inspect and test aircraft components (in-process and completed assemblies, sub-assemblies and detail parts); assures repairs or modifications are accomplished according to applicable data acceptable to the FAA administrator, e.g. component maintenance manuals, overhaul manuals, structural repair manuals, customer specifications, drawings, diagrams, or inspection instructions and checklists. Uses various measuring devices throughout the process; rejects components found with defects or malfunctions which require additional operations or re-work; accepts and certifies components that are determined airworthy.

  • Follow company policies and procedures.

  • Follow directions and / or instructions, as directed. Familiar with Internal Customer Interfaces, as defined by the process assigned.

  • Process forms and document work by utilizing their endorsement, in accordance with the Quality Management System.

  • Notify immediate supervisor of any suspected un-airworthy condition noted while performing their duties.

  • Have a good understanding of blueprints, technical manuals and planning documents with normal supervision.

  • Work in conjunction with higher grade Inspectors to further their job knowledge base through OJT with normal supervision.

  • Cleans work area, when required with minimal supervision.

  • Read and understand blueprints and technical manuals.

  • Have a basic understanding of computer processes involved in daily operations.

  • Other various duties, as assigned.
