Position Summary Textron Systems is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Field
Service Representative (FSR) with proven expertise in military ground
vehicles. The FSR applies deep technical knowledge of vehicle systems to
perform hands-on repair, modification, and assembly of Land Systems platforms,
and may supervise personnel assigned to assist with these actions. This role
is highly dynamic, involving critical support for tactical ground vehicle
prototype builds, test events, field retrofits, and high-visibility customer
activities such as demonstrations, touchpoints, and trade shows.
Operating as a vital link between Textron Systems and the end-user, the FSR
must engage seamlessly with a full range of external customer
organizations—spanning all rank and skill levels—as well as internal cross-
functional teams including Engineering, Program Management (PM), Production,
and Procurement. This position requires extensive travel, including extended
domestic (CONUS) and international (OCONUS) deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Field Operations & Troubleshooting: Leverage comprehensive vehicle
expertise to perform repairs, modifications, and complete vehicle builds
directly at customer locations. Conduct advanced mechanical, electrical, and
automotive system troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on
complex ground combat platforms.
• Event & Lifecycle Support: Actively support ground vehicle prototype
builds, engineering test events, and field retrofits. Represent Textron
Systems as a technical vehicle expert at customer demonstrations, operational
touchpoints, and industry trade shows.
• Cross-Functional & Customer Engagement: Serve as a primary technical
interface, communicating effectively with diverse customer organizations and
seamlessly collaborating with internal engineering, PM, production, and
procurement teams to drive platform solutions.
• Training & Documentation: Review, validate, and update technical vehicle
manuals. Conduct hands-on systems and platform training for customer operators
and maintenance personnel.
• Data & Configuration Management: Generate and maintain data for
Electronic Customer Service Request (ECRS) forms to track daily field
operations. Review approved ECRs, DCRs, CICRs, EOs, and drawings to determine
modification kit requirements and prepare associated paperwork.
• Reporting: Maintain tracking reports for warranty and modification kit
control via Computerized Tracking Systems. Research data for vehicle service
bulletins and assist in their drafting.
