About the Opportunity
To be the frontline person and advocate for a group of residents. You will take ownership of their wellbeing and care by maintaining a schedule of checking in to ensure they are comfortable, and their needs have been addressed.
Problem solve and attend to gaps in resident needs, where necessary, by collaboratively supporting the care team to ensure ideal delivery of resident care and support.
To be the day-to-day relationship link for families, keeping them up to date with the care and wellbeing needs of the resident.
Build strong and inclusive relationships by communicating effectively with residents, families and staff team members.
About you
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:
· Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent required
· Minimum of 6 months’ work experience as an PCW within residential aged care services desirable
· Strong and clear verbal communication skills
· Good care knowledge
· Strong customer service skills
· Knowledge of compliance requirements
· Good systems knowledge and IT skills
· All mandatory learning up to date
· Team coordination or coaching skills (desirable)
· Immunisation record - COVID, including booster mandatory
· Flexibility and reliability with a strong commitment to work!
· Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff
· Strong passion for working with the elderly
