Packaging Specialist

The Packaging Specialist will function as a support element by reviewing incoming packaging cases for Department of Defense solicitations.
What you will be responsible for: ****
- Ensuring that military packaging is developed and documented according to the processes outlined in Military Standards, e.g., MIL-STD-2073-1D, MIL-STD-2073-1E w/Change 4, MIL-STD-129, MIL-STD-3010, and Commercial Packaging Standards, ASTM-D3951 and ATA SPEC 300.
- Conducting packaging validation tests and inspections to ensure compliance with the standards.
- Utilizing appropriate instrumentation to measure the effectiveness of the packaging design.
- Reviewing packaging cases to ensure compliance with contract preservation, packaging and marking, preservation codes, correct specification packaging material, packing levels, Unit-intermediate and shipping container items, bar code and special marking (Shelf-life, Hazmat and ESD)
- All other duties as assigned
