A Little About Us

Höegh Autoliners is a global leader in Ro/Ro deep sea transportation services. The company owns and operates approx. 40 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems, making around 3 000 port calls yearly. Managed from a worldwide network of around 16 offices, our main customers are major manufacturers of new cars, heavy machinery and other rolling stock. Höegh Autoliners is also a leading carrier of second-hand vehicles.

A Lot About You

You are someone who is analytical and able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. As a Crew Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that all manning requirements of assigned vessels in the fleet are adequately provided and satisfied through proper crew rotation and succession planning. You have a keen sense of quality mindset, detail-oriented, organised, and prompt. You will play an integral part in the day-to-day operations with opportunities to work alongside smart and talented colleagues across organisation.

You will work in our office located in Manila, and you will report to the Crew Operations Manager.

Main Responsbilities

  • Implement all the relevant crewing-related procedures in QCREW and HFSP QOM
  • Conduct selection and promotion process of seafarers in accordance with existing guidelines
  • Ensure that all Crew Operations relevant records are updated in OCS
  • Establish and implement the Succession Plan with close collaboration with other Crew Managers
  • Closely coordinate all changes on the original crew change plan to the Crew Support Manager
  • Conduct exit interviews for all disembarking crew of all vessels assigned to him/her

  • Implement the EST procedures in HFSP QOM

  • Endorse crew with P&I case to Insurance & Claims Manager

  • Ensure that all crew’s benefits are implemented in accordance with existing company policies and procedures
  • Keep up with the latest company Circulars, Information letters, Procedures and Policies and disseminate these to colleagues and/or seafarers
  • Conduct regular Crew Operations updates and/or act as a lecturer during PREDEP
  • Submit reports as required
  • Perform other lawful functions as may be directed by his/her superior.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation or Marine Engineering education
  • Deep insight in relevant rules and regulations especially on MLC2006 and DMW requirements
  • With excellent communication skills in an international environment
  • With strong interpersonal skills and forward-thinking mindset
  • Analytical, structured, and work with high level of integrity
  • Intuitive on using crew data processing software/systems
