About the opportunity
This is a key leadership opportunity within the Safety & Wellbeing function, partnering closely with Care Quality & Safety, Leadership Teams and external stakeholders to shape and deliver enterprise-wide psychosocial risk management. You will drive a proactive safety culture, strengthen compliance and improve psychological health and wellbeing outcomes as a core leadership value across a large, diverse workforce.
Key activities
- Review and analyse psychosocial risks, industry trends and legislation to inform strategy
- Develop and manage a psychosocial risk framework, set goals with clear goals and targets
- Lead delivery of psychosocial H&S strategic plan initiatives to drive risk reduction and promote a proactive safety culture
- Build leadership capability and psychosocial health literacy through training programs
- Act as an internal consultant to advise and coach leaders on risk management and injury prevention
- Provide advice on WHS legislation and drive audit and continuous improvement initiatives
About you
An experienced psychosocial risk professional with strong influencing capability and a proven ability to drive organisational outcomes in safety and wellbeing. You bring deep technical knowledge alongside the ability to lead, coach and build capability across diverse teams.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Tertiary qualifications in psychology, counselling or social work (highly regarded)
- Psychological First Aid and experience in trauma-informed practice
- Strong knowledge of psychosocial risk frameworks and relevant legislation
- Proven experience managing psychosocial hazards and mentally healthy workplaces
- Ability to influence at all levels and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Experience delivering safety and wellbeing programs and initiatives
