Accounting Manager

Responsibilities:
- Administer general accounting and ensures GAAP and Sarbanes/Oxley compliance and records retention programs as required by corporate and governmental mandate.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation for areas of responsibility, such as walkthrough and monitoring testing.
- Maintain and develop company op
erating forecasts and budgets and ensure balance sheet accounts are current and accurate.
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities, including proper application of US GAAP, reviewing and approving journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Interpret operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the company and makes specific recommendations which will result in cost reduction and profit improvement.
- Ensure business unit compliance with applicable corporate policy and governmental regulations and laws.
- Ensure compliance of the company chart of accounts and assign new classifications as necessary.
- Facilitate consolidation of domestic and international legal entities for close, tax, and other processes.
- Responsible for local to US GAAP reconciliation.
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors to independently resolve questions and obtain support requested.
