About This Role
We are seeking a talented test engineer with a Mechanical or Test Engineering background to support a critical defense program. As a Test Engineer, you will perform planning, coordination, and execution of components, subsystems, and system level tests as well as other evaluation activities across the program. A strong candidate will possess at least 9+ years of experience related to mechanical testing. You will have the opportunity to work in a multi- disciplined team environment. Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and schedule test, integration, and evaluation activities to ensure that test requirements and objectives are met per customer/program requirements and engineering and quality standards.
• Prepare and/or review test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews and test reports for functional, environmental, and field tests
• Support in-house and offsite data collection activities including setup and operation of data acquisition systems and sensors including NI PXIe, DTS Slice, accelerometers, strain gauges, high speed cameras, and other test instrumentation
• Lead and perform environmental testing of dynamic and static environments, including vibration, static loading, pyroshock, thermal cycling, humidity.
• Utilize and optimize tools such as LabView for instrumentation control. Real-time monitoring, and custom setup creation.
• Apply MATLAB for signal processing, data filtering, and post test data analysis
• Perform preliminary “quick look” analysis and provide post-test debriefs to engineering team and customers
• Coordinate with appropriate programs, engineering, and external organizations during test planning, execution, analysis and reporting phases
• 10 - 15% Travel
