About the Role
We are seeking a Field Engineer to provide on-site technical support and breakdown response for our operations. The Field Engineer will act as the frontline responder for site issues, working closely with the Service Operations Centre (SOC), vendors, and Level 3 engineers to ensure faults are resolved quickly and systems are maintained to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Attend breakdown within stipulated timeframe
- Provide support services for the Operations team via on-site troubleshooting
- Standby for breakdown and coordinate immediately 24/7
- Handle support calls from Service Operations Centre (SOC) and communicate until restoration
- Fault handling and escalation (identifying and responding to faults identified on-site)
- Maintain Standard Operating Process for on-site engagement by customer type, including Site Access Approval Process & Security (based on Contract)
- Handle storage and inventory records for spare devices, and proceed with replacement if equipment is found faulty
- Update the knowledgebase for every fix
- Attend new site installation/activation
- Provide Weekly & Monthly on-site Summary Reports
- Liaise with vendors for on-site break-fix and joint testing
- Assist with escalation to Level 3 engineers for remote troubleshooting
