Job Summary
TheHot Shot Driver is responsible for the prompt and safe delivery of batteries and related accessories to customers, as well as the pickup of items for testing, core return, recycling, evaluation, or repair. This role requires consistent and clear communication with dispatch to report location updates and address any issues that may arise during transit. In addition to driving responsibilities, the Hot Shot Driver ensures the assigned vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and fully operational at all times. When not on delivery routes, the driver may assist with general warehouse duties to support overall operations. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and has no direct reports
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Deliver batteries and accessories to customers, and retrieve items for testing, core return, recycling, evaluation, or repair.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies, and complete monthly company safety trainings.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving safety laws and regulations to ensure safe vehicle operation and minimize risk during work-related travel.
- Maintain consistent communication with dispatch regarding location, status updates, and any issues encountered.
- Accurately document all transactions and maintain an up-to-date inventory of the route truck.
- Support warehouse operations as needed.
- Foster positive and professional relationships with customers.
- Ensure the route truck is clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Present a professional image at all times, both in appearance and conduct.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Key Performance Measurements:
- A score card that reflects performance in areas such as safety, completion time for projects, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution.
- Management observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, and willingness & ability to learn new skills and information.
- Other key performance indicators as assigned by supervisor.
