The Role
-
Engaging with residents, encouraging and supporting them to engage in the outing
-
Putting equipment (e.g. mobility aids) and resident shopping into the bus
-
Folding and unfolding mobility aids
-
Staying with residents to allow staff to attend to other's needs
-
Aiding residents with simple mobilisation including pushing a resident in a wheelchair (where trained to do so)

Share feedback with the Lifestyle Officer / Lifestyle Coordinator at the end of your shift

Deliver a high level of customer service, including the timely provision of agreed services to residents

Drive in accordance with road and safety requirements maintaining due care at all times
To be successful:
-
MR class licence for driving buses of 22 passenger capacity or less

Previous experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices (desirable)

Ability to use computer software (Word and Excel)

Experience with wheelchair access vehicles and wheelchair tie down system, (desirable)
-
NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
-
Complete a police check
About this location:
Newmans on the Park, a 105-bed residential aged care home in Templestowe, just 17km northeast of Melbourne and close to local bus routes.
