About the Role
As a Competence & Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the development, compliance, and continuous improvement of our seafarers' competence and training programs. Working closely with the Competence & Quality Assurance Team Lead, you will help ensure that our workforce meets all mandatory and company-prescribed competency requirements while supporting career development initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the Competence Assurance System.
- Monitor seafarer competency levels against established competence matrices.
- Prepare and coordinate training and assessment plans.
- Liaise with training providers and facilitate training enrollments.
- Organize and support in-house training courses, seminars, and development programs.
- Maintain accurate training records, certificates, and documentation in company systems.
- Assist in evaluating training centers and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate training-related arrangements with international stakeholders and partners.
- Support special projects and serve as a backup for key team functions when required.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- At least 2 years of experience in:
- Crew training and development
- Crew documentation management
- Quality assurance or compliance-related functions
- Other crewing-related operations
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and international environment
- Shipping, maritime, or transportation industry experience is an advantage
