Are you an accounting professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for financial accuracy? We are looking for an Accountant – Disbursements to join our growing team and support the efficient management of payments, reconciliations, and financial operations within a global maritime organization.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain international exposure while working in a dynamic environment that values collaboration, operational excellence, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices, crew reimbursements, and cash advances accurately and on time
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of payment requests and supporting documentation
  • Prepare and execute payments through checks, bank transfers, and electronic payment platforms
  • Monitor and analyze accounts payable aging and recommend necessary adjustments
  • Prepare accounting analyses, reconciliations, and financial schedules
  • Handle withholding tax computations and issuance of BIR certificates to suppliers
  • Monitor and record crew welfare expenses and onboard cash transactions
  • Provide backup support for selected crew payroll activities
  • Assist in ad hoc accounting projects and operational requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and accounts payable functions
  • Knowledge of Philippine taxation rules and regulations
  • Experience in the shipping or maritime industry is an advantage
  • Analytical, organized, and highly detail-oriented
  • Strong sense of integrity and accountability
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
