Controller - Paint Shop - Evening Shift

Contributing to this role means:

  • Obtaining the appropriate supplies to perform the work according to the tasks to be carried out and the project requirements;
  • Masking according to workshop drawings;
  • Mixing the coating product with the paint ratio recommended by the manufacturer and adding the appropriate thinner. Obtaining the correct viscosity;
  • Painting steel parts according to the project's coating instructions;
  • Adjusting the pressure and choosing the appropriate spray equipment;
  • Controlling environmental parameters as needed;
  • Following and completing the roadmap, calling the inspector when an inspection point is identified;
  • When indicated, make corrections (touch-ups) and repairs.
  • Inform the foreman of any problems, defects, necessary corrections, or non-conformities;
  • Complete the coating product declaration form;
  • Follow the surface coating procedure and use the appropriate forms;
  • Comply with the requirements of the corporate quality management system (Quality Management Manual, Work Instructions, and applicable forms);
  • Apply industry best practices and effective methods to ensure the improvement of our operational performance;
  • Any other related tasks.

Required professional profile:

  • Spoken and written languages: French and English (an asset);
  • Technical knowledge: overhead cranes and steel industry;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Adaptability, autonomy, manual dexterity, initiative, and dynamism;
  • Organizational, analytical, and responsibility skills.
