Design Engineer
at Respan
What we’re building
Respan is building the self-driving
observability and evals platform for AI teams, used by 60+ companies and
hundreds of AI teams.
The role
You will sit at the intersection of design and frontend engineering, turning concepts into production-ready UI. This role is for someone who can go from a Figma file to a shipped feature without anything getting lost in translation.
What you’ll do:
- Design and build UI components, pages, and interactions end-to-end
- Own the design system implementation and ensure consistency across the product
- Collaborate with the designer on UX decisions and visual direction
- Prototype new features and interactions rapidly in code
- Push the bar on craft, animation, and micro-interactions across the platform
What you must have:
- Strong frontend skills with TypeScript, React, and modern CSS
- Eye for design with the ability to make independent visual decisions
- Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems
What is nice to have:
- Portfolio showing both design and engineering work
- Experience with animation libraries such as Framer Motion or CSS animations
- Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools
- Background in developer tools or B2B SaaS products
