Job Description

The Engineer is the custodian of the sortation machines which run on the conveyor belt system. Standing at 2 stories tall, the sortation machines form the critical asset of ensuring that the mails, parcels and client items are correctly sorted timely for delivery.

The successful candidate can look forward to a meaningful career in understanding various sortation machines empowering the logistics & supply chain sector.

Responsibilities:

• Provides engineering support and maintenance of the sorting system and warehouse automation system. Carry out Preventive and Corrective Maintenance (PM & CM).

• Work closely with Operation to ensure good machine performance.

• Monitors the equipment performance and executes the scheduled preventive maintenance program.

• Identify areas for improvement to the sorting equipment and make recommendations for change.

• Liaise with vendors to troubleshoot, test, install and implement new equipment for quality, safety and productivity improvement projects.

• Feedback to Engineering Services Manager on work and equipment status on a regular basis.

• Any work tasks assigned by the Team Leader (IC).

Requirements:

• Able to work on a 3-shift rotation schedule, including weekends.

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma, preferably in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics.

• Basic understanding of simple automation logic

• 1–3 years of practical experience in an operations, production, and/or facilities maintenance environment. Fresh graduates with a positive attitude will also be considered.

• Knowledge of sorting equipment and material handling systems will be an advantage

• Having WAH or other relevant safety certificates will be an advantage.

• Basic Microsoft Office skills for documentation purposes.

Early Shift

Monday - Friday: 0745H to 1430H | Saturday: 0745H to 1700H | Sunday: Rest

Late Shift

Monday - Friday: 1315H to 2230H | Saturday: Off | Sunday: Rest

Night Shift

Monday - Thursday: 2145H to 0700H | Friday: Off | Saturday: Rest | Sunday: 1900H to 0700H
