Job Description
The Manager, Business Development is responsible for achieving revenue targets by selling and promoting the full range of Logistics solutions. Key duties include preparing accurate sales forecasts and pipelines using the CRM system, analyzing sales data and market trends to ensure objectives are met, and proactively identifying and securing new business through effective negotiation and strong relationship management with key accounts. The role also requires effective internal collaboration for timely and professional proposal delivery.
Sales and Target Achievement
- Achieve all set revenue targets.
- Sell and promote the full spectrum of Logistics solutions, including both postal and courier services.
Reporting, Analysis, and Forecasting
- Prepare accurate sales pipelines and comprehensive sales forecasts.
- Maintain and update all opportunities and pipelines within the CRM system, providing precise sales forecasts.
- Provide concise, data/fact-driven analysis on financial results, opportunities, issues, and market trends, including the identification of alternatives and viable options.
- Analyze sales results and trends to implement proactive measures to ensure the achievement of objectives.
Business Development and Relationship Management
- Proactively identify, pursue, and develop strategies to secure new business opportunities.
- Negotiate complex deals and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.
Internal Collaboration
- Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure business proposals are delivered professionally and promptly.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of relevant Sales experience in the Logistics Industry
- Established capabilities to be able to adapt to a dynamic working environment, and high demand on time sensitive actions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Self-starter – Able to manage the regular deliverables and to identify where to invest more time for the better outcome without requiring step by step guidance.
- Problem Solver – Solves complexity based on accurate identification of underlying factors/causes and understands implications including those outside of immediate area
- Adaptability – Able and willing to adapt in a dynamic environment. Adopting a transformative mindset
